Meet the Team

Indeya Saephanh

My belief is kindness, patience, and support toward others and ourselves can profoundly transform the way we experience the world and our lives. Often we must relearn these same concepts as we journey through life storing experiences and memories. I believe through healing and teaching, growth and balance can be achieved. I am embarking on a journey to put my beliefs into action in the mental health field as an aspiring therapist. Currently, I am a master's candidate in Counseling Psychology at Saint Mary's College, pursuing a triple emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Clinical Counseling, and School Counseling PPS.

Much of my professional career has revolved around corporate learning and development within the aviation, property management and technology industries as an educator and mentor. My diverse career background has served as the bridge to my transition into the mental health field. Early in life I knew I was meant to help others, and I have leaned into my intuition organically in my role as an educator and mentor. As an active participant of mental health services transitioning into the provider role fills me with gratitude to have the privilege to help others find their courage to grow and overcome life's challenges.

When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling back home to Southern California to spend time with my family and hit the beaches. I also enjoy traveling to other countries to learn about different cultures and dancing. I am a huge fan of various cultural dances and have used dance as my self-care practice for many years. Like a dance, my goal is to partner with individuals and provide hope, healing and authentic connection as we navigate through life’s challenges together.

My journey is guided by a core belief that we each have an inherent capacity to understand ourselves more deeply and create meaningful connections. As a master's candidate in Counseling Psychology at Saint Mary's College, I'm pursuing emphases in Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Clinical Counseling, and School Counseling PPS.

My professional background is a testament to my commitment to supporting people. From working as a public school substitute teacher to extensive experience in the hospitality industry, I've consistently been drawn to roles that allow me to connect with and support others. These experiences have been opportunities to understand the diverse ways people navigate their personal and professional lives.

My personal experience as both an individual therapy client and group counseling participant has been transformative. It's given me unique insights into the power of authentic connection and the importance of creating spaces where people can truly explore themselves. Like a trusted companion, my approach is about partnering with individuals to help them uncover their own paths, strengths, and potential.

When I'm not focused on my studies, I find joy and balance in various pursuits. You'll find me experimenting with new recipes, tending to my garden, losing myself in the soulful sounds of Blues music, or engaging in a spirited game of dominoes. My background as a competitive swimmer, marathon runner, and amateur boxer reflects my belief in holistic wellness and the connection between physical and mental well-being.

I believe that everyone has an innate ability to chart their own course, and I'm passionate about supporting people as they navigate their personal journeys with authenticity and courage.
